For this renovation we did all the work ourselves (minus the granite installation) so we didn't have to pay the 20% labor fees most places charge.
Here's a rough breakdown of where we spent our money...
Whirlpool appliances from Sears: $3,000
American Woodmark cabinets from Home Depot: $5,000 (we got BIG discounts on these)
Granite Countertops from local supplier: $2,200 installed (included sink)
Recycled Glass backsplash from Lowes: $150
Ceramic tile flooring from Home Depot: $300 (includes subflooring, thinset & grout)
Ceiling fan from Lowes: $75
Chandelier & above sink lighting from Home Depot: $80
Martha Stewart paint from Home Depot: $35
Total cost of the renovation was about $11K.
I found your blog on thenest.com. I absolutely love your kitchen renovation! The cabinets are really beautiful. Great job!
ReplyDeleteThank you!
ReplyDeleteHow did you get such a large discount on the cabinets?? Looks great!
ReplyDeleteThank you! We purchased when they were offering a free sink base, free trash can cabinet, free hardware and free finish upgrade. Plus, the more you spent, the more you saved. I think we got an additional $500-$700 off. Plus, we didn't really do any super custom upgrades.
ReplyDeleteAbsolutely gorgeous kitchen (I also found your blog through The Nest)! Do you remember what the name and/or color of the tile was? It looks like it might be the perfect fit for my own kitchen.
ReplyDeleteHi Erin,
ReplyDeleteBeautifully done!
My husband and I love the look of the Savannah, and are currently debating between the hazelnut glaze or the creme glaze. We have a galley kitchen, and are afraid the "antigue" feel of the hazelnut will look tacky. Do you still enjoy your hazelnut finish?
Yes! I still love the hazelnut finish. It never gets old and it's so easy to clean.
